Driver Rehabilitation Specialists, or Driver Evaluators, are required in order to purchase and install hand controls, driving aids and foot controls in your vehicle. It is similar to obtaining a “prescription” for the driving equipment best suited for your abilities and needs. These guidelines are in place to protect the driver and others on the road from driving before they have been properly evaluated, trained and tested to operate a vehicle using this specialized adaptive equipment.
