2.4 MODIFICATION PROCEDURES

A detailed procedure describes each vehicle modification or equipment installation, including, where appropriate:

- Procedure for vehicle modification

- Procedure for part or component installation

- When applicable, the location within the facility where the operation takes place.

- A description of any special tools and / or equipment required in the operation.

- Level of training or certification required by the installer / modifier.

- A description of any special tests or inspections performed by the dealer.

2.5 DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS

A separate file is maintained for each vehicle containing all documentation relating to that vehicle. As a minimum, the documentation will include:

- The customer order

- A complete description of all vehicle modifications

- A description of installed equipment or components, including serial number, model number and / or part number

- The quality assurance check list

- Wiring diagrams

- The NMEDA label number applied

Records are to be kept for a minimum of 5 years.

 

2.6 FINAL INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS

Columbus Mobility Specialists Inc. will conduct a final inspection on each vehicle prior to labeling, using the procedures outlined in Appendix E. This inspection will include an inspection of all modifications and / or installed equipment against the Quality Assurance Checklist, and a review to ascertain that all documentation and record keeping is complete.

 

Upon completion, the NMEDA label will be installed, indicating that the vehicle is complete in all respects and ready for delivery.
